Pioneer Day Festivites

Merril and Justin Osmond sat down with Nicea, Troy, and Reagan to talk about Utah Pioneer Days. Plenty of fun events are planed for the holiday this year. This is the biggest Pioneer Day festival, and is sure to be a great event. Fireworks, 150 youth performers, and other entertainment will keep you entertained at this 3 day party.

The festival is being held July 24th, 25th, and 26th at Veterans Memorial Park in West Jordan. Vendors, activities, and entertainment will begin at 12:00 pm with entertainment and activities. A variety of musicians, dancers, and performers will delight and entertain audiences of all ages. Dutch Oven cook-off, bouncy houses, dunk tank, climbing wall, human hamster balls, pony rides, petting zoo, softball tournament, the iron man contest, tug of war, and 3 legged races! Come participate in authentic Pioneer games such as greased pig chase, mutton bustin, blacksmith activities, sack races, flour snowball fights, and bumper balls and much much more!

Every night from 8:00PM-10:30PM you will not want to miss the Youth Pioneer Production. Merrill Osmond's Youth Pioneer Production celebrates Utah’s pioneer and Native American heritage through song and dance. Watch the journey of Utah's pioneers be told in a unique and fun way! In addition, a spectacular firework show will be held every night at 10 pm for your viewing pleasure.

Not only is this even a great time, but it also helps a great cause. Proceeds from the Utah Pioneer Days benefits local deaf and hard-of-hearing children with the gift of hearing through the Olive Osmond Hearing Fund. Currently, the Olive Osmond Hearing Fund has provided more than $140,000 worth of hearing aids and services to deaf children all across the Salt Lake valley.
