Joshua Rush talks "Andi Mack"

Created and executive produced by acclaimed writer Terri Minsky ("Lizzie McGuire"), "Andi Mack" is a contemporary coming-of-age story about a relatable girl who's trying to determine where she fits in and the many amazing ways she can live her life. On the eve of her 13th birthday, Andi learns that her older sister, Bex, is actually her mother. This revelation puts Andi on an unfamiliar path of self-discovery which she navigates with the help of her loving albeit complicated family; her two best friends, Cyrus and Buffy; and her middle school crush, Jonah Beck. Along the way, Andi learns that sometimes the unexpected is what makes life great.

"Cyrus Goodman"

Joshua Rush stars as Cyrus Goodman, one of Andi's two best friends who knows exactly how to lighten the mood whenever needed, in Disney Channel's hit coming-of-age series, "Andi Mack."

Born on December 14, 2001, Rush has already compiled a lengthy list of credits in both animation voice work and live-action roles. Rush currently stars as the voice of the beloved honey badger Bunga on Disney Junior's animated series "The Lion Guard." He previously voiced characters on Disney Junior's "Star vs. the Forces of Evil" and Disney XD's "Gravity Falls."

Rush's additional credits include Netflix's "The Adventures of Puss in Boots" and "Family Guy." He also starred in several independent features, as well as the feature film "Parental Guidance," alongside Billy Crystal, Bette Midler and Marisa Tomei.

Originally from Houston, Texas, Rush now resides in Los Angeles with his family. He is passionate about global education and literacy, actively volunteering with UNICEF and reading weekly to young schoolchildren. He follows the news religiously and loves politics, technology gadgets and Houston sports teams.
