The American International School of Utah (AISU) is the first of its kind charter school in Utah. As a public school serving grades K-12, attendance is tuition free for all Utah students. The elementary school grades are now fully enrolled with a long waiting list but the middle school and high school grades still have limited space available.

The school will be at the site of the former 49th Street Galleria and will be open in August.

Students from around the world will join Utah students for a world class education. It is anticipated that about 200 students will be from other countries.

Students will learn at their own pace. Instead of being required to sit in a classroom for a semester before being allowed to progress as soon as the demonstrate competency of a subject they can advance. A student may be able to finish a year's worth of math in six weeks.

Informational open-houses are being held along the Wasatch Front.

The school is very near both Trax and Front Runner stations.
