"Entourage" actor Jerry Ferrara may be the New York Knicks' newest scout, but he won't be watching prospective players for the NBA team.
Instead, Ferrara, better known to fans of the HBO series as his character Turtle, will be scouting gamers for the Knicks' entry in the NBA 2K esports league.
Ferrara, who told ESPN his new gig came together naturally based on his love of both the Knicks and gaming, will also serve as a creative consultant.
The 38-year-old Brooklyn native will analyze gamers at a combine scheduled for February and help guide the team's March draft for the new esports league.
A total of 17 NBA teams will participate in the league, with a 16-week season beginning in May.
