The Amazing Spider-Man review

“The Amazing Spider-Man” reboots the Sony / Columbia franchise and puts our friendly neighborhood web-slinger back on track.
“The Amazing Spider-Man” reboots the Sony / Columbia franchise and puts our friendly neighborhood web-slinger back on track. Graphically, the film uses the same textures and colors fans have experienced in the comic books.

I could get into a long explanation of some of the film’s shortcomings but to be honest most of that would be nitpicking.

In the short haul, “The Amazing Spider-Man” does its job, although I think (at first impression) Andrew Garfield was slightly miscast in the lead role. But this is the first film in a series and I hope he grows on me.

“The Amazing Spider-Man” gets a B- and is rated PG-13.
