Colts release former BYU star Austin Collie

INDIANAPOLIS (ABC 4 Sports) - Former BYU and oft-injured wide receiver Austin Collie was released by the Indianapolis Colts.
INDIANAPOLIS (ABC 4 Sports) - Former BYU wide receiver Austin Collie was the released by the Indianapolis Colts, the only NFL team he has played for.

Collie, who suffered through multiple injuries during his 4-year NFL career, played in just one game last season after rupturing a patellar tendon in his right knee.

Collie, diagnosed with three concussions over the past 22½ months and who left another game during that span with what team officials described as "concussion-like symptoms," spent four seasons with the team. He had 257 catches for 1,845 and 16 touchdowns with the Colts.

A 4th-round draft pick by Indianapolis in 2009, Collie is BYU's all-time receiving yards leader with 3,255. He also holds BYU records for most touchdown catches in a career (30), most yards in a season (1,538) and most 100-yard receiving games (17).
