SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - The Utah Governor's Office of Economic Development released a video touting the strengths of Utah's economy.

It sites Forbes magazine.  It reports Utah is "The Best State for Business" three years in a row.

It also shows Gov. Gary Herbert (R) Utah speaking on a bloomberg television news program called Taking Stock.  "Our job is to keep government off your backs and out of your wallets," Herbert said in the promotional video.

ABC 4 interviewed Department of Workforce Services Chief Economist Carrie Mayne after she watched the video.  She said Utah's economy is improving.  The unemployment rate dropped form 5.2 percent in February to 4.9 percent in March.

She says a threat to Utah economy is coming from a portion of the population who gave up searching for a job.  She says there are over 17,000 job openings on the Department of Workforce Services website.
