WEST POINT, Utah (ABC 4 News) - Davis County officials say a man was severely injured after he was pinned under a vehicle that fell off a jack on Monday.

Davis County Sheriff's Office spokesman Scott Harper said the man was working on the vehicle at a residence on 3000 West 95 North with his son-in-law when the vehicle slipped off the jack, pinning the victim's chest between the vehicle and the ground.

Harper said the son-in-law quickly worked to reposition the jack to raise the vehicle off the man before rescue personnel arrived.

Harper said the man was eventually flown by helicopter to an Ogden hospital in critical condition, suffering from severe chest injuries.
