Utah teams compete for title of best bomb squad

PROVO, Utah (AP) - Eight different bomb squads in Utah will be competing against each other in a two-day contest.
PROVO, Utah (AP) - Eight different bomb squads in Utah will be competing against each other in a two-day contest.

The Provo Police Department and Utah County Sheriff's Office are teaming up to host the statewide event Wednesday and Thursday.

Teams will respond to eight different scenarios and will be graded on their approach to each.

Among the Utah teams participating are groups from the National Guard, Department of Homeland Security and the Transportation Security Administration.
