On Thursday, the Utah Labor Commission said they will adopt the new federal minimum wage law.

It will bring minimum wage in our state up to $7.25 an hour. That's up from $6.55 per hour.

The increase is the last in a series of scheduled raises the law mandated.

The new minimum wage will go into effect on July 24, 2009.
