Utah kids tech savvy at Apple Camp

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) - For the first time at City Creek shopping center kids from all over Salt Lake City learn how to make their own movie at Apple camp.
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) - Kids are keeping busy this summer learning to be tech savvy!

For the first time at City Creek kids from all over Salt Lake City participated in Apple Camp, where they learn how to make their own movie.

Full of enthusiasm, little geniuses in the making participated in a free three day Apple Camp where they learn the art of making a movie.

Bringing their own footage shot at home Apple Campers learn first hand how to use iMovie and Garage Band on a MAC and then make their own movie magic.    

9-year-old Reilyn Larsen, who is Apple Camper fro the first time tells ABC 4 Utah she chose to make a movie about here dog Toby. As for 10 year old Christian Heckathorn, who's making a movie about his friends, he says he loves technology and this is completely up his ally.  Heckathorn says “It’s a really fun opportunity to learn about all this technology and have fun and my favorite part is making the music for the video.”

Enjoying every minute of Apple Camp Heckathorn says he especially loves apple products and may have even found his calling. “I probably want to work at apple. Probably teach apple camp,” says Heckathorn.

Camp ends with each kid showing off their own masterpiece to fellow camper’s friends and family during a film festival at the Apple Store.
