SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - The University of Utah says it awarded a contract for construction of a new law school.

Law dean Hiram Chodosh says the job is going to Big-D Construction Corp. The company says the contract is worth $46 million.

Big-D will break ground next year on a 155,000-square-foot building to replace the College of Law.

Big-D president Rob Moore says his company built the Natural History Museum of Utah and the main Salt Lake City Library.
