UINTAH COUNTY, Utah (ABC 4 News) - Two controlled burns grew out of control Saturday in the Uintah Basin.

One fire on private land near Lapoint, Utah, over 100 acres in size, jumped a road and began burning out of control.

Crews say the fire remained on private land, and near by tribal land is not being threatened.

The second fire, south of Vernal near Horseshoe, likewise grew out of control, likely due to dry fuel or high winds.

According to the Uintah Basin Fire Center, the fires are not threatening any structures and there are no injuries.
