Update: Police have caught serial bank robber

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) - Unified police have caught Mark Bolinder. He is being charged in two robberies; one on Highland Drive and the other on Redwood Road.
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) – Police have caught Mark Bolinder, a robber on the loose for most weekend.

Bolinder is being charged with using a gun to rob a Chase Bank on 6300 South Highland Dr. Saturday afternoon and a Zions Bank on 1600 South Redwood Road Monday morning.

Monday night, his vehicle was found by a Unified Police Department officer at the KOA at 1400 West North Temple in Salt Lake City. Detectives from UPD and Salt Lake City Police set up surveillance in the area. They determined that Bolinder had a hotel room at the Overnighter Hotel at 1450 West North Temple.

Around 8:45 P.M., Bolinder was spotted in the parking lot of the hotel. He was approached by officers and tried to flee. After a short pursuit, Bolinder was captured by officers.

Detectives interviewed him and determined that he was the armed robber they were looking for. Bolinder was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on several charges of "Armed Robbery”.
