OREM, Utah (ABC 4 News) Until now, the Eden family had not been able to afford a house adequate enough for their four children to play and feel safe.

Habitat for Humanity celebrated the ribbon cutting of the Edens' brand new home Saturday afternoon in Orem.  The home was donated to the the organization that renovates old homes and makes them affordable to lower income families.

The family themselves helped renovate the building and make it home.

It was Habitat for Humanity's 52nd Utah Valley home and third home funded almost entirely by the homeowner's mortgage payments.

The group is is committed to eliminating poverty housing and homelessness in the county by building, renovating and repairing homes with residents in need of affordable shelter.

The Edens said they are grateful to the organization and to the community that helped them repair the house.
