GRANTSVILLE, Utah (ABC 4 UTAH) - One person is dead after an officer-involved shooting in Grantsville.

Sunday night, police were called to a home on Clark Street on reports of a "disturbed male."

When they arrived, police say an adult male came out of the home with a gun.

According to Grantsville Police Chief Kevin Turner, his officers took appropriate action, ultimately shooting the man.

The investigation into the shooting is now being conducted by a separate police force.

"Tooele City is investigating the incident for us," said Turner.  "We're doing a concurrent investigation as per protocol.  I have 3 officers that will be on administrative leave for a little bit."

Police have not released the name of the man at this time, and are still trying to notify his family.

We're told that no one else was home at the time of the shooting.
