SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - Utah students across the state had a very special speaker Thursday.

Nick Vujicic, an international faith-base motivational speaker born without limbs kicked-off his anti-bullying campaign in Utah.

As a child Vujicic said he was bullied and even considered suicide. His speech to students at Bryant Middle School in Salt Lake City was simulcast and streamed live so that schools across Utah were able to watch.

“The one thing I hope resonates with students in Utah is to never give up to love ourselves more and have a more positive self image,” Vujicic told ABC4’s Kim Johnson.

Vujicic picked Utah to launch his campaign after getting a personal invitation from Gov. Gary Herbert.

“I’m very concerned about bullying taking place in our schools,” said Gov. Herbert. “We all have to love each other, care about each other, recognize we have challenges.”

On Friday, Vujicic will be sharing his message with students at American Fork Junior High, Spanish Fork High School and UVU. On Saturday he'll speak at Jordan High School. No tickets are available for any of the events.
