Victor Robinson was charged with six felony counts including rape and endangerment of a child.
The victim was a 13-year old girl.
“It didn't make what my son did was right, okay?” says his father Victor Robinson Sr. “He was with a younger girl throw the book at him for that."
But Robinson’s father blames the 13-year old for his son’s troubles.
“He brought this girl to the house and she had no problem convincing me and my wife and my son that she was 17 years of age,” he says. “I met this girl, she come over to the house, she says she was 17.”
Robinson says his son and the 13-year old met on Facebook. He showed ABC 4 the girl’s Facebook and it did appear to be provocative.
The girl’s mother was asked about her daughter’s Facebook.
“Where did you get all this stuff?” she asked.
It was apparent she was unaware of her daughter’s Facebook.
“You know what?” she asked. “You need to leave now.”
Prosecutors say regardless of the girl's behavior, it's against the law for an adult to engage in sex with a minor.
By Thursday afternoon, the 13-year old's Facebook page was removed.
