If you've been hankering for some Hostess, your wait is over! Ho Hos, Cup Cakes, Twinkies, they're all back.
"I'm happy to see Hostess back," said Leon Hackford, Hostess fan.
"I'm excited," said Travis Buckley, Hostess fan.
"Nothing else tastes the same, it just doesn't," said Cynthia Atuaia, Hostess fan.
Walmart began selling the famous Hostess snacks Friday, and they're expected to hit other stores starting Monday. It's being called “The Sweetest Comeback in the History of Ever”. For some it couldn't come soon enough.
"How many Cupcakes can you eat in an hour?” asked Reporter Brian Carlson.
“As long as I have milk I'm good," said Geovanni Alvarez, Hostess fan.
"When my son was growing up I had to buy at least $20 - $25 a week," said Carol Kalar, Hostess fan.
"I don't want to sound fat, but I can eat a whole box," said Atuaia.
Hostess lovers haven't had them for months. After the company filed bankruptcy last year shoppers stocked up on whatever Hostess products stores had left. Now the business who bought the Hostess name is putting the treats back on the shelves.
"So although Hostess is back with all your favorites, Cupcakes, Donettes, etc. if you're looking to for Twinkies you're going to be out of luck. This half carton box is all that's left. We had to bribe somebody just to get these," said Carlson.
"I'm not surprised. Everyone has just been waiting, when can I get Twinkies? I'm going to get me a whole bunch and stash them away," said Kalar.
If you wanted to get a Twinkie, and you missed your opportunity, you'll a get a second chance to start buying them next week. But given how fast they sold out Friday, you may want to hit the grocery store early.
