High-speed chase ends with crash

UTAH COUNTY, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) – A high-speed chase began Monday afternoon in Saratoga Springs after a Saratoga Springs officer attempted to make a traffic stop.
UTAH COUNTY, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) – A high-speed chase began Monday afternoon in Saratoga Springs after a Saratoga Springs officer attempted to make a traffic stop.

Police say the vehicle was stolen of Nephi

The suspect took off at 200 East Pioneer Crossing. Just east of 500 West Pioneer Crossing the passenger jumped out of the vehicle while the driver continued east bound.

Another officer spotted the driver getting on to I-15 southbound. The driver failed to yield to an Orem deputy who had turned his lights on.

A off-duty deputy attempted to pull the car over at mile marker 256. The suspect clipped the front end of vehicle and spun off the Benjamin exit.

The driver was booked on a couple of charges. The suspect also had multiple warrants from multiple Utah counties including DUI, suspended license, and driving without insurance.

The suspect, Brian Filion, 34, was taken to the hospital with injures.
