SANDY, Utah (ABC 4 Sports) - The Brighton High and Timpanogos High girls soccer teams are state champions.

The Bengals knocked off Viewmont in the 5A championship as Sydney Myers, who is bound for USC on a soccer scholarship, scored the only goal of the game in the 61st minute off of a free kick. The title is Brighton's first since 2010.

"It's the most incredible feeling ever," said Myers. "It's so unreal, the feeling is incredible and I can't thank my team enough. I have the best team out there."

In the 4A title game, Katie Henderson scored in the 41st minute to give Timpanogos its second championship in the last three years with a 1-0 victory over Skyline. Sydney Oldroyd made some huge saves down the stretch to preserve the shutout.

"It's incredible and a dream come true," said Henderson. "We worked so hard to get here and it's just that our hard work paid off. It's absolutely amazing."
