ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) - Three southern Utah teenagers accused of grabbing a 14-year-old girl while she was jogging and throwing her in the back of a pickup truck now face kidnapping charges.

The Spectrum reports charges were filed Tuesday against three 16-year-olds from Santa Clara.

Savannah Tuttle told the newspaper that she was jogging the evening of April 30 when three males wearing masks grabbed her and locked her beneath a truck bed cover.

She says they drove a ways before unlocking the cover, and she escaped and walked home in the dark.

Her father, Tom Tuttle, says he's been pressured to drop the matter by some who believe the incident was just a prank.

But he says his daughter is seeing a counselor and is now unable to be alone at night.
