Matthew David Stewart faces ten total charges in connection with the shooting that took place at his home on January 4th.
Jared Francom was killed during the mêlée, and 5 other officers were shot.
The Weber County prosecutor's office announced Friday that Stewart had been charged with the 1st degree aggravated murder of Francom, along with 7 other attempted aggravated murder charges, also first degree offenses.
Stewart was also charged with a weapons violation and a drug charge.
According to the arrest warrant, investigators say Stewart opened fire on officers from a "concealed position at close range with a Beretta 9mm semi-automatic pistol."
The Warrant detailed the shootout further, describing how Stewart continued shooting at officers at close range, even after they had been initially wounded.
Here are some of the quotes from the warrant that detail what happened in Stewart's home:
"Agent Grogan was struck in the face and went to the floor. Agent Derek Draper returned fire as he was fired upon...
"...Agent Kasey Burrell at least twice and mortally wounded Agent Jared Francom who was struck six times."
"Stewart shot Sgt. Nate Hutchinson several times as he engaged the suspect and helped wounded officers evacuate... the suspect also shot Agent James Vanderwarf..."
"...Stewart advanced on officers as they were trying to evacuate... and continued firing at officers as they moved away from the home..."
"The suspect shot Officer Rounkles twice as he entered the home."
The document then describes what happened when police finally got out of the house and how officers began to out gun the suspect.
"Stewart moved to the front door of the residence and continued shooting into the street and front yard at the already wounded agents and fellow agents.."
"Police returned fire causing the suspect to retreat ... and exit the northeast bedroom window into the backyard... entered a small storage shed."
The document did not describe the actual arrest of Stewart.
The Weber County prosecutor's office also released a statement Friday, declaring their intention to seek the death penalty against Stewart.
And the arresting document also described what investigators found in the days after the shooting. "Agents dismantled an active marijuana grow and recovered multiple marijuana plants..."
Francom was laid to rest on Wednesday after an emotional funeral attended by more than 4,000 people at Weber State University's Dee Events Center.
Several more people lined the streets as Francom's procession passed by on the way to the Ogden City cemetery.
