A Utah Department of Transportation spokesman said there's nothing on the to-do list as impactful as last year's I-15 CORE project.
“You are still going to see the orange cones, but maybe not as much as last year,” said John Gleason, UDOT spokesperson.
Drivers along I-80 in Parleys Canyon should expect lane closures throughout the summer as crews replace a drainage pipe.
If you take US 89, it'll be déjà vu from last year. Repaving work continues and lanes will be closed along this artery during day time hours.
But some work will be done at night, such as the construction of a new intersection on Bangeter Highway at 134th South. The goal of doing the work during off-peak hours Gleason said is two fold.
“Any inconvenience we can take away from people that are driving the roads is going to be a benefit not only to them but for us as well,” he said. “It's easier to work when you don't have the cars zipping by.”
