OGDEN, Utah (ABC4 News) Tuesday Utah's public health leaders gathered to learn from each other and the surgeon general.

Dr. Regina M. Benjamin, the US Surgeon General, said, "Health does not occur in a doctor's office, it happens where we live work and play. health is in everything we do."

That was part of the message from the Surgeon General to members of Utah's public health community: being healthy, shouldn't be a pain.

Dr. Benjamin said, "We have to make it enjoyable and fun."

To do that, Dr. Benjamin encouraged everyone who could hear her voice to take every opportunity to teach.

Dr. Benjamin said, "Stress the importance of being healthy and creating a good lifestyle."

That challenge, accepted!

Dr. Audrey Stevenson said, "There is alot we can still do to promote the health of people in Utah."

And part of that, not just talking healthy, live it too.
