Police release name of person of interest in shooting

CEDAR CITY, Utah (ABC 4 News) – Police have released the name of person of interest in the shooting incident in Cedar City.
CEDAR CITY, Utah (ABC 4 News) – Police have released the name of person of interest in the shooting incident in Cedar City.

On Friday, Cedar City Police responded to a report of a suicidal person. While responding they received a second call stating there had been a shooting at the same address.

When police arrived they found Thad Robertson outside the home.

Robertson informed police of the situation inside the home. Police found a man dead and a female was injured inside the home.

Police detained 52-year-old Robertson, as a person of interest.

He was later charged with possession of methamphetamines, possession of a deadly weapon by a restricted person and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police are still investigating the shooting which is now classified as a homicide.
