Inside the New Grains bakery you will find what you expect to find in a bakery; cookies, english muffins, and loaves of bread. But in this bakery there is one thing missing: gluten.
The man behind New Grains, Tim Lawson, explained his company is "changing people's lives one loaf at a time."
Many in the Lawson family, including Tim, have been living a gluten free life for years. They have too, gluten makes them very ill.
The Lawson family was frustrated with their lack of gluten free food options, so they started to make their own recipes.
And it worked!
They produce hundreds of products everyday in their full functioning bakery in their basement!
Lawson said, "Downstairs at full production we can do 245 loaves in an hour, that's a lot of bread."
This is a very Utah company starting from humble beginnings, but this company, Made 4 Utah, is making a huge impact for people struggling with gluten intolerance around the world.
Lawson said, "Here in utah we are very entrepreneurial based and have several home based businesses and that is what made this country great and that's what makes Utah incredible."
