Hazards keeping evacuation order in place in Summit County

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) - The evacuation order for residents in Summit County will remain in place Thursday.
SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) – The evacuation order for residents in Summit County will remain in place Thursday.

The Rockport 5 wildfire has burned nearly 2,000 acres and is 25% contained. 

The fire forced evacuations orders of three neighborhoods: Rockport Estates, Rockport Ranches, Bridge Hollow and Promontory.

There is no water or power in the area. 

Propane tanks at homes are leaking and causing additional hazards.

The estimated date for fire containment is Sunday, August, 18.

The Park City evacuation shelter closed at 6 p.m. Thursday. The Coalville shelter remains open at this time. For transportation to the Coalville Shelter call: 801. 323.7000.
