TABIONA, Utah (ABC 4 News) - Flooding threatened residents of Tabiona in Uintah County on Thursday.

Crews used dump trucks and backhoes to build a mound of dirt up along the banks of the Duchesne River.

Crews were able to surround the homes with a two-foot high wall of sandbags as the last line of defense against any potential flooding.

Warm weather has caused a swift runoff from the higher peaks of Utah for several weeks.
