Fire fighters fight against exploding ammunition to battle house fire

CLINTON, Utah (ABC 4 News) - Flames destroy a camping trailer and truck parked outside a Clinton home early Wednesday morning. Fire officials tell ABC4 News the fire started after hot coals from a fire were thrown into a trash can. The coals were not cold enough sparking the flames. The fire quickly spread to the trailer and truck and flames damaged portions of the home. A neighbor saw the fire and woke up the family to get them outside. The neighbor also called firefighters and made sure the fire hydrant was cleared of snow and ready for firefighters. Besides dealing with the cold, fire fighters had to wait for flames to burn fuel and ammunition inside the home. As they burned explosions erupted from the trailer. Firefighters estimated atleast $150,000 in damage for the Clinton family.
