SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC 4 News) – One year ago on Mother’s day Jack Price found 4-year-old Corbin Anderson’s body in the Weber River.

The boy had been missing for two weeks after he fell into the water. ABC 4 interviewed Price moments after he found the boy in the water.

“I spotted him and I kept walking because I thought it couldn't be and I went back and it was him. I lifted up his hand to make sure, broke my heart,” Price said.

Utah river and streams fed by mid and high elevation snow pack are expected to nearly double in size this week.

National Weather Service Center Hydrologist Brian McInerney is warning parents to keep their children away from the water.

He says spring runoff has killed at least one child every year in Utah in recent memory.
