MOAB, Utah (ABC 4 News) - ABC 4 is learning new details about the 16-year-old boys who allegedly killed a sleeping man in Moab.

The murder was some sort of dare, according to a Grand County no warrant arrest fact sheet.  It states Brody Kruckenburg wanted to kill Gregorio Salazar Campos who was sleeping in his mother's bed at 608 RiverSands Road on March 25.

Grand County Documents claim Brody said, "Lets kill him." The two boys had a shotgun loaded with slugs.

Kruckenburg couldn't pull the trigger so he asked his Anthony (Tony) Nelson to carry out the murder.

"Tony then tells how he pointed the gun through a crack in the doorway of mom's bedroom," the document reads. It states Tony shot Campos three times until he was dead.

According to a separate Grand County no warrant arrest fact sheet, Corina Yardley helped in the cover up. She was the girlfriend of Campos and the mother of Kruckenburg.

She allegedly gave the boys permission to use her truck to dispose of the body, cleaned blood stains from her bedroom and bought a new mattress.

The two boys allegedly drove the body to an area of the Colorado River known as the Old Boat Dock where they tied it to a metal bumper and dumped it in the cold water.

The reported murder was a secret until Nelson told a friend about killing a man April 6. The friend apparently told the authorities.

Gregorio's body and its wounds were where the 16-year-old boys said they would be.

Nelson allegedly justified the shooting by saying Gregorio is illegal so no one would miss him.
