LOGAN, Utah (ABC 4 Sports) - Kyisean Reed scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Utah State in a 75-66 victory over Seattle on Thursday night.

Utah State (12-1, 3-0 WAC) capitalized on Seattle's inability to take care of the basketball, scoring 26 points on 18 Redhawk turnovers for its 11th straight victory. The Aggies have won 12 of its first 13 games for just the third time in school history.

The Aggies were 19 of 23 from the free-throw line and held off Seattle despite the Redhawks hitting 10 3-pointers and shooting 46.4 percent from the field in the game.

“We didn’t play great, we just did barely enough to win tonight," said head coach Stew Morrill. "We made some big shots when we needed to. We took care of the ball, but they really had us out of sorts at the start of the second half. Kyisean obviously had a great night. He got some huge offensive rebounds. Spencer (Butterfield) and Marcel (Davis) each hit a big shot and all of a sudden we were up eight.

A Deshaun Sunderhaus dunk gave Seattle (5-7, 0-2) a 53-50 lead with 6:03 remaining in the game but the Aggies went on a 25-13 run from that point on. Spencer Butterfield gave Utah State a 55-53 lead on a 3-point basket with 5:08 to go and the Aggies never trailed again.

Sunderhaus ended up with 23 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two blocked shots.

Preston Medlin scored 18 points and had five assists for Utah State.

“I came out trying to get deflections and steals," said Reed. "I think we came out and ended it pretty well. We picked it up and got opportunities on the break. Sometimes it has to go like that where offense doesn’t go right but you have to keep playing defense."

The Aggies will try to make it 12 straight wins when they host Idaho Saturday night at 7:00 p.m.
