Washington County attorney George Butler says the women were fired for having inappropriate conversations of a sexual nature on the job.
Officials say a male employee complained to his sergeant after overhearing the conversation on the job.
"Any conversation of a sexual nature that is unwelcome, either by males or females, can be considered sexual harassment, and that's taken seriously," Butler says.
The trio have filed grievances, so now the quorum court will decide their future.
Further details of the case will not be released until the quorum court hears the grievances, which should happen in the next few weeks.
