2 dead after head on crash on Interstate 80

The accident, which happened at about 1:30pm, closed both west bound lanes for a couple of hours.
SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah(ABC 4 News) – A crash on Interstate 80 on Saturday afternoon leaves questions for investigators.

The head on collision in Summit County left 2 people dead. 29 year old Kallie Nelson and 65 year old Judith Nethercott.

Police say Nelson was driving a white Mazda when, for some reason she crossed over into the west bound lane and struck Nethercott. Nethercott was driving a blue Mercury SUV.

There were no passengers in either vehicle and police say both victims had passed away by the time police got to the accident.

The West bound lanes of Interstate 80 were closed for a couple of hours.
