Three women took the stand Monday afternoon in Judge Steven Hansen’s courtroom testifying that Bond molded them, enticed them and then allegedly threatened them into doing sexual acts with him and other young men while he watched. The women were all under the age of 18 when these alleged abuses began.
They testified that Bond wanted the girls to see him as their grandfather; he asked to be called Pappy. They allege Bond would pick them up when they were suppose to be going to school and instead take them over to his house. At first their visits were just hanging out, watching TV or playing on the computer but then the visits would turn sexual. Two of the victims explained how Bond encouraged them to have sex with their boyfriend in a room where closed-circuit cameras were set up so he could watch. In return for the sexual favors, Bond treated them to alcohol, prescription medication, cell phones, and other gifts. When the girls did not comply he threatened to turn off their cell phone and threaten the lives of their loved ones.
All the victims recalled what Bond would do to them after they had sexual encounters with other men. They testified that Bond would do what they called a, “DNA Wash,” in which he would use an ingredient to cleanse their private parts so that authorities could not find the DNA of the older men they were sleeping and that way they would not get in trouble.
One of the men the girls would have sex with was 24-year-old Curtis Hone. He’s now in jail, charged with unlawful sexual activity with a minor.
During testimony, Bond tried several times to look back into the audience. He was warned by the corrections officer to turn around and at one point he stood up and confronted the deputy who had to wrestle him to the ground and shackle him.
Bond pleaded not guilty to all 38 charges. Trial is set to begin June, 3rd 2013.
