HEBER CITY, Utah (ABC 4 News) – A Rocky Mountain Middle School teacher in Heber City foiled a mass murder plot before a student could carry out his alleged plans.

Heber City Chief of Police Dave Booth says the 14-year-old student suspect had a list of 8 students he wanted to kill. Two of the names were crossed out, indicated the suspect no longer wanted to kill them.

The letter also read the student would bring a knife to school to stab the remaining 6 students on his list.

The teacher noticed the student suspect acting differently during classes on Wednesday, Booth said. The teacher pulled the student aside and the student revealed the plot.
