Mother-son busted as part of drug operation

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - A mother and her son were part of a drug ring that was busted by police.
SALT LAKE CITY Utah (ABC 4 News) – A mother and son are behind bars accused of being part of a drug operation that was netting thousands of dollars a month.

Police raided an apartment at 915 West and 500 South and another home at 1317 West American Avenue and arrested five individuals. According to the charging document that at least four of those arrested were in the United States illegally. One of those arrested was previously deported.

“This is surprising,” says Emma Galvez who lives next door. “I never see strangers coming and going from that apartment.”

The five arrested include Guillermo Delfin-Salto who according to court documents was was making between “$1,000 and $2,000 a day from such sales (of cocaine),”

Also arrested was Victoria Mendoza and her son Felix Santos who “would assist by transporting narcotics between Delfin-Salto’s residence and his residence so that Mendoza would have a supply of narcotics,” the court documents say.

Also arrested were Reyes Santos-Calvario and Jesus Camacho-Altamirano. Court documents claim four of the five were in the United States illegally.

“Delfino-Salto was previously deported felon for distribution of a controlled substance,” says the charging document.
