Curtis' Pinpoint Forecast

The snow is not over yet, and temperatures will be VERY cold!
Good Saturday Evening,
A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY is in effect for the Wasatch Front and Northern Mountains tonight.  The sun was sure nice when it popped out of the clouds this afternoon.  However, the clear skies will allow temperatures to plummet to near 0 for the Wasatch Front, and into the -0s to -10s in the mountains and deserts.  A weak disturbance will produce light, fluffy snow showers tonight.  It could accumulate an inch or two.  There is a slight possibility of a lake effect band developing, which could produce very isolated amounts up to 6" by tomorrow morning.  Any clouds or snow showers will clear by Sunday afternoon.  It will be very cold, with highs in the 0s and 10s.
Some cloud cover will stick around Monday and Tuesday, but high pressure will build in by midweek.  This means a return of inversions for the Wasatch Front, the Uinta Basin, and the west and east deserts.  This high pressure will prevail for the next 10-14 days, meaning no new snow for a while.

Have a great evening,
