Recipe- serves 6-8 ppl
4 cups flour
2 tsp salt
3 Tbsp baking powder
3 Tbsp sugar
2 Tbsp shortening
1 cup milk
combine and mix all dry ingredients. Add shortening and mix. Slowly add milk until mix is holding together in one mass. remove and knead into a thick dough adding milk or flour as necessary. divide into 4 golf ball size balls. on a flour covered surface roll the balls out until they are about ¼ inch thick then use a knife to cut into diamond shaped pieces. Fry in a cast iron skillet in about an inch of canola oil.
