They're both famous and pregnant, and their names both start with K. Can you guess which one affects women's style purchases more?
In a fashion showdown between Duchess Kate and Kim Kardashian, Kim tends to nab more votes from women's wallets, according to fashion designer Roland Mouret.
The UK's Telegraph newspaper quoted Mouret as saying the reality TV star's style wields more influence in the world of fashion than the likes of billowy, ethereal Kate.
"The kind of people who like Kate's style are not the kind to rush out and copy her dress," he told the February edition of Vogue UK.
"You don't see hundreds of women running around looking like her. To be honest, we're more likely to get orders on a dress that Kim Kardashian's worn."
The Telegraph also noted how hard it can be to copy Kate's looks because of the Duchess's thrifty habit of wearing clothes from past seasons. By the time a would-be buyer might try to find one of Kate's dresses, it's usually long sold out.
What's more, unlike Kim, Kate makes a concerted effort to tamp down the sexy when choosing her attire.
"Above all, she does not want a tabloid frenzy," Mouret said. "She doesn't want a bottom situation like Pippa had."
