Grilled Swiss Cheese and Salami on Rye

Grilled Swiss Cheese and Salami on Rye
1 cup grated Swiss cheese
1 cup grated Dry Italian Salami
Butter
Russian Rye Bread
Optional: thinly sliced Red Onion

Mix Swiss Cheese and Salami in a bowl
Heat a frying pan, Panini Press, or griddle
Butter one side of two slices of Russian Rye bread
Place one slice, butter side down on griddle
Add cheese/salami mixture to the unbuttered side
Place another slice of bread, butter side up, making a sandwich
Toast until golden brown, the flip the sandwich over and toast the other side.
Optional: Add a thin slice of red onion to the top slice of bread just before flipping
it over to toast that side.
