Double Crust Pie Recipe 1 each

1 Lb. Frozen Black Cherries

10 oz. Cherry Pie Filling

1/3 cup Sugar

2 Tbsp. Cornstarch

1 tsp. Almond Extract

1 Egg

2 Tbsp. Milk

1 Tbsp. Turbinado Sugar


Prepare your favorite pie dough recipe. Roll out and fit the bottom crust into your pie plate.

Combine the cherries with the sugar, cornstarch and almond extract in a mixing bowl.

Fill the pie shell with the cherries. Crimp and score the top crust.

Brush the top of the pie with egg wash, then sprinkle turbinado sugar over the top.

Bake at 400 degrees about 50 minutes and until the liquid from the cherries boils.

Chill to room temperature prior to serving.
