Utah Fusion All-Stars is certified by the United States All-Star Federation (USASF) and all Fusion athletes are USASF athletes. Utah Fusion All-Stars is located in West Jordan, Utah.
Utah Fusion All-Stars was founded in 2005 at West Jordan's Gene Fullmer Recreation Center. What began then with ten young women and one coach has quickly grown to become one of Utah's elite cheerleading programs. Today, Utah Fusion All-Stars is home to six highly-competitive teams and more than one-hundred athletes between the ages of three and nineteen. Fusion employs eight coaches and two staff members.
Fusion's name was born from its definition as a "merging of diverse, distinct, or separate elements into a unified whole." Fusion All-Stars is home to six teams that demonstrate this creed: SPARKS, EMBERS, HEAT, FLAMES, BLAZE, and INFERNO.
Fusion Founder and Coach Emily Morgan draws upon her numerous years of competitive cheerleading experience, as well as her professional background as a Certified Child Life Specialist, to teach the values of hard work, dedication, and teamwork. Fusion measures success not only by wins at competitions, but by the way its athletes grow and develop as individuals and teammates.
This year, Fusion became Utah's first-ever and only program invited to compete at The Summit, all-star cheerleading's definitive national championship. Fusion will also represent the United States at the Cheerleading Worlds, one of only three Utah teams ever to receive the honor.
Fusion is currently accepting new participants in its tumbling, cheerleading, and flexibility classes. Fusion will hold 2013-2014 tryouts on Saturday, April 20, 2013. Everyone who participates in tryouts will be placed on one of Fusion's teams.
