1. What do you mean by “The results you need. The care you deserve.”?
We believe that every patient who comes in deserves the best care possible; they also come in here for results, both medical and cosmetic.
We want to deliver those results so we tell our patients that if we can’t deliver the results they’re seeking and need, they’re not a candidate for what we do.
We want to alleviate their symptoms as much as we can. We want their legs to feel better. We want them to become active again, feel good and not suffer from vein issues. We want to improve the quality of their life.
So those are the results they need, but we don’t want to do all of that without the care they deserve.
That’s why we provide one-on-one, hands-on care from a physician who’s highly experienced in vein care... and that’s me. My staff is also very experienced, providing empathy, excellent medical care…they listen to people’s needs…I think that’s a really important part of what my staff and I do…make sure that we truly listen to each patient’s individual needs…that’s what every patient deserves and should receive.
2) What should you expect when you come in for a vein treatment?
First, I always do an ultrasound examination to show the patient exactly where the problem is and map their venous reflux or vein disease.
Then, once I diagnose that they have varicose veins or spider veins, we discuss treatment options.
For spider veins, these are typically treated with cosmetic treatments and are not covered by medical insurance. The transilluminated sclerotherapy treatments utilized achieve long-lasting results by letting the patient easily see where the feeder veins are. These procedures are quick and done in our offices. The patients see results in 2 to 5 weeks and may require multiple treatments.
For varicose veins, you have a number of treatment options. As medically necessary procedures, these are typically covered by your medical insurance and include EndoVenous Laser Treatment, which is a 45-minute office procedure requiring just a local anesthetic and gets you back to your normal activities almost right away with minimal pain. Another procedure is Ultrasound-Guided Sclerotherapy to guide injections into hard-to-see problem veins or veins deep within the leg. And Ambulatory Phlebectomy is a minor surgical procedure for larger varicose veins. All of these minimally invasive procedures are quick, in-office treatments that can greatly reduce or completely eliminate leg pain.
3) Do you offer free vein screenings to determine if patients have vein disease?
They can visit our Sandy, Utah office for a free vein screening on Thursday, August 29th from 10 am to 4 pm. It’s best to call for an appointment, as we’ve been filling up fast lately…
