Brazeli (Swiss Cookie)

These are one of the most popular cookies sold at Swiss Days. They sell out very quickly!

  • 1/2 lb. Butter
  • 1 1/2 C. White Sugarto make
  • 1 C. Brown Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 C. Whipping Cream
  • Rind of 1 Lemon
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 1 Tbs. Cinnamon
  • 1 Tbs. Vanilla
  • Juice of 1 Lemon
  • 3 1/2 - 4 C. Flour

Mix together and add enough flour to make a soft dough (but stiff enough to roll into balls). Refrigerate overnight. Roll into balls (about the size of a ping pong ball) and press in a Brazeli iron. Makes 100-150 Brazeli.
