Arnold Friberg's Life & Legacy

Arnold Friberg's daughter-in-law Jayna Fribert talks about the artist's life and legacy.
December 21, 2013 marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Arnold Friberg.  And throughout the year, his life and legacy will be celebrated.

Friberg spent three years in Hollywood working on Cecil B. DeMille's epic motion picture The Ten Commandments.  He was the chief artist and designer working on the pre-visulaization paintings commissioned by DeMille for the movie.  Friberg was hired after DeMille was shown some of Friberg's paintings by a publisher friend.

The Ten Commandments will air on ABC 4 Saturday, March 30th beginning at 6:00 p.m.

You can buy replica art from the movie The Ten Commandments at WalMart locations.

The Ten Commandments campaign will officially launch a several year project that celebrates the life and legacy of Arnold Friberg.  This September begins a multi-city cross-country tour of the original masterpieces, including The Prayer at Valley Forge, the 15 pieces and sketches used for The Ten Commandments movie, the world famous masterpiece "The Queen of England", western scenes, Mountie scenes, and yet unseen work created by Arnold Friberg.
