Salt Lake City Police got a call to the Shell gas station on 2100 South 500 West after a man walked in with a gun and robbed the station.
"He made away with a small amount of money, not very much money. Certainly a very violent crime for the amount of money he took," said Detective Greg Wilking with the Salt Lake City Police Department.
Police say the robbery happened just after 9 PM Sunday night.
Police describe the suspect as a white man in his 20's and has a skinny build. He had a black curly or Rastafarian shoulder length wig. He has pot marks or scared acme on his face.
He was last seen in dark clothing with a hand gun.
"Right now we are looking into the possibility that it might be related into other incidents in the valley, possibly another one that night," said Det. Wilking.
That incident was in Murray the Carl’s Jr. on 5300 South.
The bandit made away with an undisclosed amount of money.
Murray Police say their suspect is also a white man in his 20’s weighing in at around 200 pounds. He had a black curly shoulder length wig. Last seen wearing Long sleeve black t-shirt, grey pants, black and white converse shoes. He also had a white glove on his right hand.
And he had a black handgun.
"If he is hitting multiple places, he may raise the bar, he may take it to a different level. Somebody may end up getting hurt," says the detective.
Both departments are working to find out if these cases are linked. They will be looking at surveillance to match the suspect’s description.
Police know this guy walked in to both places on foot but believe he left in a car.
