Bremner will go before West Valley City Council members on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. to argue for the police records.
Bremner has been denied the records twice since April 2012.
“I have to think that if I’ve been denied twice the third time will be the charm,” Bremner said.
She said the West Valley City Police Department maintains the case is an ongoing investigation.
Bremner said the Cox family has given her authority to file suit against the West Valley City Police Department if she is denied a third time.
She believes the family has every right to know what the department did and did not do to find Susan and protect their grandchildren under Utah’s Victim’s Rights Law.
In February 2012, Josh Powell, Susan’s husband set fire to his rented house in Washington, killing himself and his boys Charlie and Braden.
Bremner does not believe the police are hiding anything, but she is curious about the last item to be completed in the investigation regarding Susan’s disappearance. She said the Cox family wants answers.
“They just want the truth,” Bremner added. “They want to find Susan and in those records they believe is something that may help them.”
