PROVO, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) – A family drama is set to unfold Thursday as the daughters of Michele MacNeill are expected to testify as star witnesses for the prosecution against their father.

Alexis Somers and Rachel MacNeill are scheduled to take the stand in the high profile murder trial of their father Martin MacNeill. MacNeill is accused of overdosing his wife after a face lift so he could be with his mistress, but the defense claims Michele died of heart failure.

The sisters have long believed their father is guilty as they told ABC News and 20/20 in a 2010 interview.

So far the developments of the murder trial have revealed bizarre details about the case.

MacNeill is said to have offered $10,000 to the emergency room physician at American Fork Hospital to keep resuscitating Michele.

“I think as a physician he already knew that he wife was already dead,” Dr. Scott VanWagoner said.

The big question is whether or not Michele’s 12-year-old daughter Ada will take the stand. She was 6 when she found her mother unconscious in the bathtub.

The judge is expected to make a decision Thursday on whether or not Ada will testify.
